Prevention and Self-Testing as a Social Responsibility & a Committed Act
Road safety is not measured by numbers and regulations, but by human lives that we are duty-bound to protect. Based on the philosophy of the new Road Traffic Code for zero tolerance against reckless driving and alcohol consumption beyond the prescribed limit, it is now clear that true safety does not begin with enforcement, but with the awareness of each driver. Prevention and self-testing are the only choices we have to ensure that every journey ends with a safe return home, close to the people waiting for us. "We must know, not assume!"
This need for prevention and awareness of the risks hidden behind excessive alcohol consumption led to a large-scale, committed nationwide awareness and prevention campaign over recent years. This effort was born as an organized act of responsibility by leading national bodies, such as the Ministry of Citizen Protection alongside the Hellenic Police, the Panhellenic Pharmaceutical Association (PFS), local pharmaceutical associations, as well as the Vehicle Technical Control Centers (KTEO). These entities stepped forward, taking the initiative to proactively educate citizens and bring a culture of road education directly to where the pulse of everyday life beats.

Nationwide Awareness & Prevention Campaign at the Country's Vehicle Technical Control Centers (KTEO)
In February 2026, on the initiative of the Hellenic Association of Private Vehicle Technical Control Centers (KTEO) and under the auspices of the Ministry of Infrastructure & Transport and the Ministry of Citizen Protection, a major nationwide initiative for safe driving was implemented. Thousands of drivers who visited the KTEO facilities received valid information about the risks of alcohol consumption, as well as a free Alco Selftest® as a practical tool for responsible decision-making. The campaign highlighted the role of KTEO as points of education and awareness, promoting the culture of voluntary self-testing before getting behind the wheel.
Citizen Education & Awareness at the 57th TIF Rally
In September 2025, within the framework of the ceremonial start of the 57th TIF Rally in Thessaloniki, a highly successful experiential awareness initiative was held to prevent driving after alcohol consumption. The campaign was organized by the Thessaloniki Automobile Club (AOTH) in cooperation with the Non-Profit Organizations Nazionale Piloti and SAFE-DRIVE.ORG, under the kind sponsorship of Dyonmed S.A. During the event, free samples of Alco Selftest® were distributed, offering spectators and drivers a valuable tool for voluntary self-testing. The organization by AOTh proved once again that motorsport can serve as a platform for social awareness, conveying powerful messages of prevention and responsibility.

In August 2025, a targeted awareness initiative was implemented in Mykonos with the aim of enhancing road safety and preventing driving under the influence of alcohol. The initiative was carried out by the Non-Profit Organizations Nazionale Piloti and SAFE-DRIVE.ORG, in cooperation with the Mykonos Traffic Police and the Region of South Aegean, under the kind sponsorship of Dyonmed S.A. During the campaign, the innovative Alco Selftest® was distributed to citizens free of charge, offering drivers a valuable tool for voluntary self-testing. The initiative, with the participation of local government and political representatives, highlighted the importance of personal self-control in making responsible decisions before getting behind the wheel.

This action was implemented under the kind sponsorship and support of SY.FA. Thessalonikis and DyonMed S.A., within the framework of a continuous commitment to prevention and the responsible information of citizens. During the campaign, the innovative Alco Selftest® was distributed to passing drivers free of charge, offering a valuable tool for voluntary self-testing to promote public health and responsible road behavior.

In April 2025, ahead of the Easter holiday exodus, a targeted awareness initiative was implemented in the center of Corinth to prevent driving under the influence of alcohol. The initiative was organized by the Corinthian Pharmaceutical Association, in cooperation with the Corinth Traffic Police and sponsored by DyonMed S.A. During the action, free samples of Alco Selftest® were distributed to passing drivers. The campaign was implemented within the framework of a continuous commitment to prevention and the responsible information of citizens, highlighting the importance of cooperation in promoting public health.
